A month ago had stabbing left side chest pain thought to be indigestion. resolved in 30 mins. still have lingering dull cramp at left ribs. gi testing all normal. in cardiac work up next week w/ stress test. what could cause this persistent feeling?

Your symptoms are not characteristic of coronary artery disease and I fully expect you to pass your stress test. I suspect an irritable intercostal nerve or muscle that runs between 2 ribs is the cause of your discomfort, but for completeness I recommend a chest xray and a spot xray of the ribs where you experience discomfort. In time such discomfort usually resolves.
