Was diagnosed with a small chalazion in lower eye lid prescribed durezol steroid drop 2x a day for 5 days and told to ice it. everything i know about this condition says warm compresses and antibiotics. im concerned need opinions please?

I agree with you. My advice for treatment is warm compresses with or without antibiotic eye ointment. No eye makeup!!

Chalazion is treated with warm compresses and gentle message.Most of time it will help go away.Some cases if it persists then surgically it needs to be incised by an opthalmologist and fluid drained.It is caused bu blocked duct at one of the Melbmian bland.It is not caused by infection.
