Hi doctors. i have an eye question. i have a small asymptomatic very peripheral horse shoe tear (hst) in my right eye only. my eye doctor wants me to see a vitreo-retinal specialist to get laser for it...is it an emergency? can it get worse?

This should be fixed as soon as possible since the tear can evolve to a completed detachment with loss of vision !

Saw retina specialist yesterday for tons of new gnatlike floaters. I had a PVD about 9 years ago in that eye and was told it was complete. Doc did OCT told me my diagnosis was PVD that he saw new vitreous seperation on my scan. Is this possible?
