A member asked:

Hi doctors. my opthalmologist saw 2 peripheral horseshoe tears in my right eye. he sent me to a retina specialist who also saw the 2 horseshoe tears. both doctors want to take a watch & observe approach, and not do laser. why would they not do laser?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Assuming the ophthalmologist and the retinal specialist saw only "small tears" in the retina, and you vision was not affected, healing will generally reseal the tears without necessary laser therapy.
