If you were asked to stop your aspirin for the procedure, I recommend holding it until you contact your ophthalmologist, or one covering for yours, for instructions. Aspirin effects on platelets can last over a week from stopping it

Glad you had laser photoocagulation (LPC) for your retinal tear. You still need to monitor your vision, because LPC doesn't guarentee that you can't go on to a retinal detachment or go on to another tear elsewhere. Aspirin probably is not an issue so if you need aspirin to prevent a stroke or heart attack, continue it, but check with your internist whether you actually need it.
