Good afternoon doctors. i have an ophthalmology question. my ophthalmologist said that i have a hst tear in my right eye retina and wants me to get laser for it. could you please explain what this means? could my vision get worse or could i go blind?

The answer depends on what HST means in NJ. Never us abbreviations in Medicine. They could lead to blindness or worse. Thanks.
