Good afternoon doctors. i have a history of high bilirubin for over 24 years which my gastroenterologist attributes to gilberts syndrome. i also have egfr of 56..how do i know if it is gilberts or chronic kidney disease?

There is no relationship between chronic kidney disease stage 3A (GFR 45-60 cc/min) and Gilbert's syndrome. I wonder if this mildly reduced GFR is new to you (acute or subacute) or your GFR has been declining for years (chronic).
