3 y.o has had transient synovitis in her right knee for 8 weeks. still swollen, painful & limping. could it be the wrong diagnosis if it is lasting this long? if not synovitis, what else could it be?

If problem has persisted for 8 weeks it can't be transient. Your child needs to be re-examined, preferably with a rheumatologist.
