Any time there is confusion about a diagnosis or dissatisfaction on the part of the patient about what is being done, it is reasonable to get a second opinion. You may consider talking to a second Neurologist before consulting a surgeon.

If you distrust the prior neurologist, a second opinion is in order, BUT, Chiari will not cause "essential tremors", emotional changes, Crohn's. Have your primary doctor reassess all of this.

His GI symptoms may be provided. A GI specialist is also recommended. His evaluation should be coordinated with your pediatrician. Keep vaccinations including COVID-19 updated. Post COVID long syndrome may include many different symptoms. Did he have COVID 19 infection?
