See a doctor first to make sure you don't have anything wrong with your pharynx or tonsils. For sore throat due to reflux (often associated with cough during sleep) you need med to lower the acidity of the gastric juice (prevacid, omeprazole, nexium, pepcid, tagamet, etc. ) and following antireflux measures: do not lie down with full stomach & raise the head of bed by 2 blocks of brick.
