Yes it can happen when recovering from it. Stay with your MD and let her/him know. For without a good history and physical no opinion can be given

Coughing up blood cannot be normal, but it is seen in pulmonary infections. You should have tight follow up with your primary care doc and/or a pulmonary specialist to assess for recovery following pneumonia. Your symptoms should fade away slowly if you had a simple pneumonia. If you notice significant worsening seeking immediate medical attention will be best.
