My mom has chronic upper left abdomen, upper back pain & ribcage pain. she had nausea for a while but it stopped. she saw a small amount of blood in her stool twice. does this point to lung, colon or pancreas cancer? can a benign cause explain this?

Most likely a benign cause such as hemorrhoids but can also be cancer.She needs to get checked out y a Dr.

Any abnormal bleeding needs to be evaluated. It may be as simple as hemorrhoids, however, even hemorrhoidal bleeding can cause anemia. It would be prudent to see your primary care provider of an initial assessment and to ascertain if you need to see a GI doctor. Wish you and your mom good health!
