Is it normal for a urinary catheter to hurt when inserting. i had a nurse put one in me and it wasnt so painful but when another nurse did it one time i screamed up to the top of my lungs?

May be one nurse did not put enough lubricant gel on the catheter before inserting it or your urethra was mildly inflamed at that time.

Three weeks ago i had a cathether removed from my chest & new one inserted. Several days later a rash appeared. Rash better but still itchy.
Suprapubic catheters. new to me. is there more involved inserting the little white curlytail ones compared to the normal brown larger ones. both 14fr. i saw a nurse covered in heavy armor, is this lead to stop the xrays? do I get more xrays?
