It may be, BUT....: Everyone's case is a little different then the next one, so it is important to follow-up with the treating doctor/urologist. Anytime a catheter is inserted, it can certainly cause hematuria (urinary bleeding), but as stated, hematuria can also be a sign of underlying serious issues, so be sure to follow-up if this continues.
