I can't tell exact: Location from your description, but get an mri. This should show the mass and tell you what it might be. Ask your doctor if he thinks MRI is proper test.

Disturbing: If you can see and or feel it, your surgeon may help. I worry that the mammogram may not be exposing the area of concern. Ultrasound is great fir cysts. Careful attention. The patient is likely correct!, .
