I have cut my finger yesterday i went to er no need for stitches , my doctor put gauze on it . but gauze is stuck in my wound it hurts so much when i try to take it off. what can i do ?

You can return to the ER for continuation of care. Or you can soak the gauze-wrapped finger in tepid water. This may loosen the clot and allow the gauze to be removed.

Agree with Dr. M. You can soak your finger in warm water to facilitate the removal of gauze. It would help to apply triple antibiotic cream to the wound to prevent infection. It is available over the counter. Wish you good health!
