Yesterday i had a couple of stitches put on my elbow around the upper joint, and the doctor put a gauze wrap around it. today which is one day after the stitches were put, its burning and swelling. is that normal?

Possibly ok: It is hard to say without an evaluation but if the gauze was tight it could possibly cause some swelling & burning, or the wound itself could be a bit painful. Infections usually would not show up that quickly, but call Dr or have area rechecked if symptoms worsen or do not improve in 1-2 days
