Recent paroxysmal afib diagnosis. currently take flecainide 50 mg bid , coreg 12.5 bid and losartan 50. paxlovid has flecainide listed as a contradiction. does this mean that that if i get covid paxlovid is not an option for me?

Not only flecainide, amiodarone, dronedarone, propafenone, quinidine but losartan, carvedilol and some statins also have significant interaction with Paxlovid because the concentration of these drugs are enhanced to dangerous levels. Because this medication is too new so cardiologist may need to involve for the decision if you can take Paxlovid or not but for sure there is a major interaction.

Yes but right now you have bigger things to worry about. Such as getting COVID-19 and flu vaccination and masking if you have/do not. . Be certain your blood K is not low and they draw blood correctly to check K. Ask about anticoagulation.
