A member asked:

What is difference between internal vs peripheral vascularity in case of liver ultrasound? is one worse that the other?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

The most important & vital vessels in the liver are hepatic artery, hepatic vein and the portal vein, which I assume, are the central portions of liver circulation as opposed to all the other vascular areas which I would think are the peripheral vessels. Since I'm not especially proficient in liver anatomy,I would defer to a gastroenterologist's response to your question.
