Not necessarily: Hypoechoic means a solid nodule, rather than a liquid-filled nodule which would be a cyst. So hypoechoic liver nodules could be many things, including something called focal nodular hyperplasia, which is not cancer. Your doc may recommend more tests, or a biopsy. Cancer is on the list of possibilities, but it's not time to worry. It's likely to be benign given your age and health!
