Yes, about half of hemangiomas are expected to show linear growth in time. Whenever in doubt, a biopsy under the care of a liver specialist would be needed.

Hemangiomas can grow in size. If there is risk of bleeding, an interventional radiologist can ablate the lesion by radiofrequency.
