A member asked:

20 years ago i was diagnosed with a liver hemangioma. three years ago another small liver hemangioma was detected via mri and ct scan. now latest mri repot shows only one the old hemangioma. is it possible for one liver hemangioma to just go away?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes. A hemangioma may go away if blood clots inside the lesion and results in fibrosis. Small hemangiomas of the liver and not uncommon and not a cause for concern. Wish you good health!
