At work i picked up a item and it had what looked like dry blood on it but could have been anything. i have some small cuts on my hands but im pretty sure nothing got on my skin but i washed my hands afterwards just to be safe. hiv/hepatitis risk?

Too many assumptions in your concern, do not worry about these minimal to no risk. No IV drug use and safe sex are the mainstay for prevention of HIV/Hepatitis diseases.

With that information, it sounds like your risk is extremely small base don the presumptions you have made. If you are really worried, see someone and do some blood tests to reassure yourself. Other risks exist for HIV and Hepatitis, so it would help to discuss those with a healthcare provider

Your risk is unmeasurably small and should not be a cause for concern. You should get vaccinated for Hep A and Hep B along with vaccinations for DPT, HPV,Covid and Flu etc.
