Unless you have open sores or wounds with blood and any of your people who you take care of have the same and there is contact between both with blood exchange, than both are at risk for infections. It's good you wash your hands, but wearing gloves is mandatory for your type of work, to protect both of you. Start wearing gloves immediately.
