A member asked:

Regarding the imaging study ( psma- pet ct scan ga68) what is the amount of total psa post prostectomy for prostate ca that the pet ct scan is sensitive enough to detect any reminant of ca cells cause different guidelines saying different cut-off ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PSMA-pet scan can detect areas of ca. It is not directly related to PSA any PSA value, tho the higher the PSA the more chances of having CA. Also like any test it has false neg and false positives. So each situation has to be clinically corelated.
