Fasting cholesterol with fractions, your medical history, family history should be considered in the decision. Diet and exercise are always essential and should be part of a healthy lifestyle. Your primary care doc would be best to take it from here.

It would be prudent to consult with your doctor who knows more about your health and hopefully your family history. The best antidote to atherosclerosis is regular aerobic exercise. For healthy diet: http://www.choosemyplate.gov/., exercise 30 minutes/day, drink enough water daily so your urine is mostly colorless, have safe sex, no tobacco alcohol weed or street drugs. Get Flu and Covid vaccines
