A member asked:

Hi doctors. i have complete opacification left frontal sinus. dr put me on augmentin & fluticasone 3 weeks. if after these medications a new ct scan would still show opacification, should i try different antibiotics or go right to endoscopic surgery?

A repeat CT showing opacification of left frontal sinus should require your ENT physician to direct you accordingly. The treatment with empiric antibiotics may not have resulted in effective treatment, as sinus cavities are like abscesses, and not exposed to the circulating blood supply, so the antibiotics, even if technically "correct" may not treat the condition adequately.
