Hi doctors. i am having functional endoscopic sinus surgery to clear complete opacification left frontal sinus. could you please tell me what recovery is like? do you get loss of smell? could you lose sight? what are symptoms post-operation?

Hello. Great questions and these should be reviewed with your operating surgeon. There are different ways to approach the frontal sinus. Typically no permanent loss of smell or sight. Ethmoid, sphenoid and Maxillary are other sinuses, Are they being treated as well? Is your doctor planning on using a balloon? Frontal sinus drill out procedure? Septum being performed too? Best to chat with your ENT
