Good afternoon doctors. if i have functional endoscopic sinus surgery for complete opacification left frontal sinus, what are the chances of blindness/eye damage and/or brain complications/damage? are there any other concerns that i should know about?

Hello. Great questions and these should be reviewed with your operating surgeon. There are different ways to approach the frontal sinus. Typically no permanent loss of smell or sight. Ethmoid, sphenoid and Maxillary are other sinuses, Are they being treated as well? Is your doctor planning on using a balloon? Frontal sinus drill out procedure? Septum being performed too? Go with an experienced ENT
