Symptoms suggest rather an infectious or autoimmune cause with other causes such as lymphoma possible. The myeloma panel of tests is usually run by rheumatologists and that should help in clarifying.

Not feasible based upon your post to provide precise answer, and would agree with rheumatologist at this point. You could discuss possible diagnoses at your visit. Also, if you wish, you could have some of this evaluated on the paid portion of our site (www.connect@healthtap.com) via a virtual consult.

At your age, multiple myeloma is rare. Your rheumatologist can order a protein electrophoresis to address your concern. Wish you good health!
