Complex: Dad's rheumatoid arthritis is not related to your osteoarthritis (oa). Yes, it could all be oa. Leg weakness with walking brings up the possibility of spinal stenosis, a possible complication of oa.

Possible: I would suggest seeing a musculoskeletal/spine specialist to address your concerns and select the appropriate treatment plan. Recommend seeing a physical medicine ; rehabilitation doctor who is spine/pain fellowship trained as well.
