Dry skin is a common cause for skin itching among others. Vitamin D deficiency, otherwise very common in general, is not a common cause of skin itching, but a normal level if checked can help ruling it out.

Commonest cause of skin itching is local irritation or allergy so pl look for those reasons first. If you have a normal diet and good sun exposure than chances for vit. D def are very low.
