Blood testing is specific to what they are looking for. Each target of testing adds equipment cost and technician time. There are no universal blood tests that tell everything in it. That said, the time for a simple nicotine exposure to be gone from the blood is around 8 hours. Chances are they would not test for nicotine and if it was done 8 hours after intake they would not find it anyway.
