In addition to taking a good history&examining your head and neck, tests may be an x-ray, CT scan,MRI, Pet scan or types of biopsy. Cancer cannot be diagnosed or appropriately treated with certainty without a tissue diagnosis.

In addition to x-rays and possibly a narrow beam CT scan, as well as a focused clinical examination, the Oral Surgeon will take a complete history and evaluate your medications. Be forthright and all inclusive when describing your history. Make sure to bring a list of all prescription, OTC, and recreational meds.
