I have been diagnosed with swimmer's ear and have been treated with eardrop/oral antibiotics, prednisone, and tramadol. it is about the 7th day and i've just noticed a large amount of pus in my ear. is this a good or bad sign?

You should see your doctor again. It sounds like you have an infection in the outer ear canal, otitis externa. This may need antibiotic ear drops to treat it. So, see your doctor again as soon as possible. Feel better real soon. Good luck to you!

If you're sure that pus is draining from the ear canal, I'm concerned that this is not simple otitis externa. I recommend consulting an ENT specialist for accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Culture and sensitivity studies of the drainage will most likely be ordered
