Would ct scan of the sinuses show salivary glands tumors or issues? i have sinus issues but also had salivary gland issue. thank you?

It depends on the field of view on the images. the salivary glands are located more inferiorly and posteriorly than some CT sinus studies image. Typically a CT or MRI soft tissue neck is used to evaluate the salivary glands, to include the parotid, submandibular and sublingual glands.

Hello, unfortunately the CT s an of the sinuses end at the roof of the mouth so the salivary glands are not typically included in this field of view. A CT of the neck with contrast to review the salivary glands is the proper study but review this with your ENT specialist.
