Do you mean art.blood pH or urine dipstick pH? Need more info. One needs both to see where you are. Also blood electrolytes. Wikipedia has a good discussion of alkalosis and acidosis and the Henderson-Hasselbac equation. One needs to read this several times with a pencil and paper to work with before it becomes clear.
