First visit should be at your dentists office to have your abscess properly addressed. Take your antibiotics as prescribed, call your dentist.

The antibiotics will help control the infection until you can be seen by your dentist. The problematic tooth needs to be treated. The ER cannot be of help in this situation.

Think how bad the infection would be without the antibiotics. ER's don't treat abscessed teeth. Dentists do. Antibiotics will only control spread of infection to other organ systems for as long as you take the pills. Cause of the infection, abscessed tooth, has to be treated before you run out of pills. You must see a Dentist for treatment or referral to an Endodontist or Oral Surgeon.
