I was diagnosed with a menigioma two years ago no growth 7 mm i just had my teeth x-rayed and will now have to have another x-ray due to needing a root canal scared this will cause the meningioma to grow

A single DENTAL x-ray is minimal exposure. You get more radiation from the environment. Make sure an apron is placed on your lap and neck before x-ray is taken to minimize exposure.

Digital films require only an infinitesimally small amount of radiation. A full 14-18 film series requires less radiation than you would be exposed to spending a day in the mountains. Your Dentist cannot provide safe healthful care if forced to work blind. No, dental x-rays will not cause your meningioma to grow. Also know that your Dentist's columnated beam will probably not allow direct exposure
