Talk to surgeon: These are benign lesions but can recur. Complications depend on where they are and the competency and experience of the surgeons removing them. A 3cm lesion is usually small enough to be relatively easy to remove but if it is in the medial sphenoid wing it can be attached to the internal carotid artery or optic nerve. An olfactory groove meningioma can leave you without the sense of smelll.
