High is good for HDL, the higher the better, as that is protective for atherosclerosis. Your doc will be best to discuss your labs in proper context otherwise.

All laboratory results need to be interpreted in the clinical context and the doctor who ordered the tests is usually in the best position to do that. Talk to the doctor who ordered the tests. Having said that, HDL of 73 is good for you, as long it is not due to your drinking alcohol. Wish you good health!
