Both R true: Your HDL is technically just a bit "low" but your total cholesterol, LDL and TGs are normal - hence both statements are true! From your doctor's perspective, your HDL isn't abnormal enough to justify treatment even if we had an effective drug (we don't). Daily exercise is a healthy lifestyle and it raises HDL so it's definitely recommended. Beyond that, forget it. It's an inherited characteristic.
