Delayed: Sounds like his speech development is delayed. You should follow up with your pediatrician for an evaluation including a hearing test to help best decide on next course of action.

Speech pathologist: Have a speech pathologist who cares for children evaluate your child and help develop a plan to help. Your local school should have someone who can do this, or ask your doctor for a recommendation.

They will also assess all other areas of his development and look for autistic behaviors.
