The chances of a CT Scan finding any problem without findings on a physical exam are close to zero. Headaches in the weeks following even minor head trauma are common. Third party insurers seldom if ever pay for the study unless the doc certifies that they have found abnormalities on an exam. You can always ask.

Headaches from superficial head injuries are quite common and are not an indication for brain imaging. Most of these headaches will respond to OTC analgesics, but you could see your doctor if you wish.
