I had a root canal week ago on an abscessed molar. it had a huge pimple on the gum. that has since disappeared after the rct but the molar next to it now has a tiny pimple on the gum. is this abscessed too? will i need another course of antibiotics?

This "pimple" can be from the same tooth, a different tooth, or even trauma from injections in the area. It needs to be investigated by your treating dentist.

An Xray and/or tests on the other tooth will reveal if that tooth will need a Root Canal also. You may need to take more antibiotics if another Root Canal is necessary
