Vaporizer: Try going into the wash room and turn on the hot shower and breath in the hot steam. Dont take a shower but steam yourself four times a day for20 minutes. When sleeping use a vaporizer or humidifier and sleep with several pillows.

Go to the next level: Your infection may be resistant to the amoxicillin. It's time for antibiotic #2, but it's also time to consider whether the diagnosis is correct. Maybe a chest x-ray is in order to rule out pneumonia. You are on all of the right medications for an asthmatic bronchitis, but just haven't turned the corner. Visit with your fp about what the next move is.

Sounds like you: Have all the bases covered. You might want to ask your doctor to broaden antibiotic coverage and a steroid inhaler. Make sure you stay well hydrated, use a vaporizer to humidify air. If you develop fever or shortness of breath, go to er immediately.
