A member asked:

Is a 6-month follow-up ultrasound and mammo appropriate for a breast that is clear of all lesions or abnormalities on both tests? two radiologists disagreed on whether one axial lymph node showed suggestion of very mild cortical thickening?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

At age "35", if there is no immediate family history of breast cancer, a single (sentinel ?) node in the axilla is probably not significant. Biopsy may be indicated if there is a positive family history. Early detection of potential breast cancer with treatment can be successfully treated.
