Unnecessary, but...: ...Often reassuring. It is normal and expected to see lymph nodes in the armpit or even in the breast. Ultrasounds are very helpful for distinguishing normal from abnormal ln architecture. If they are >2cm or abnormal in appearance, that may "raise an eyebrow" favoring biopsy. Otherwise, no worries.

If concerned..yes: If you have a lymph node that you can feel or you have a family history of breast cancer, you should get an evaluation by a surgeon. This sounds like something benign and noncancerous but being proactive is important. At the very least, you should have your mammo and ultrasound repeated in 6 months.
