Very Good Idea: Keeping a journal while depressed can have many benefits. A journal does not talk back, but encourages us to record our true emotions. The physical act of writing is slower than our racing thoughts forcing us to focus. You may see patterns of behavior that only appear in writing. Once treatment begins you can record the benefits or lack there of and be able to review. Keeping a journal is good.
