I had endo in 2010 = stom inflamm + ulcer. endo in 2019, stom normal but grade b esophagitis. on 10mg ppi permanently. had v bad reflux attack in last week, back on high ppi and in pain. should i worry about long term effects? how long until better?

I wonder if you want to ask the long term risk of GERD or PPI. GERD -- Barrett's esophagus -- cancer of the esophagus. It takes 1-2 weeks to reduce the inflamed esophagus but it seems you will need long term average or high dose PPI. Make sure you follow antireflux measures as well. PPI adverse effects: kidney problems, C. diff colitis, malabsorption of Ca, Mg, B12, Iron, atrophic gastritis ...
